On Thursday, February 21st, the Brother Martin Athletic Department held a school wide assembly to recognize the 2012-2013 State Champion Crusader wrestling team.

Athletic Director Scott Williams introduced head wrestling coach Robbie Dauterive after an introductory prayer led by senior Patrick Hoppe. Coach Dauterive, along with Assistant Coaches J.P. Pierre and James Casadaban, recognized the starting 14 on their season, state meet, and career accomplishments.

Coach Dauterive also introduced Jay Rink, a member of the Class of '86 and who this season was dedicated to, who was met with a standing "One for Jay" cheer from the entire student body. The assembly concluded with a presentation of the state trophy by Principal Greg Rando.

The 2012-2013 wrestling program set the new school record for dual meet wins in a season with a record of 29-1. The team also set the new state record for most points scored in a state tournament with 339.5. Congratulations, once again, to the entire wrestling program on an amazing season.
