Brother Martin will claim 2013 Louisiana Classic

This year's Louisiana Classic will belong to Brother Martin.

Tournament host and Catholic-Baton Rouge Coach Tommy Prochaska said his Bears' deficit to the Crusaders will be too large to overcome in the championship round, which begin at 4 p.m.

"It's out of reach to be able to catch them," Prochaska said. "Our goal is now to just concentrate on these finals and try to either get a seed or save a seed and just wrestle tough to finish off a good tournament."

Brother Martin leads all teams with 278.0 points, followed in the top five by Catholic (206.5), Jesuit (193.5), Holy Cross (120.0) and St. Paul's (117.0).

Rummel sits at No. 6 with 111.0 points, and Teurlings (108.5), Comeaux (107.0), Hoover, Ala., (100.0), and East Ascension (87.5) complete the top 10, with Brusly not far behind at 85.5 points.
